The best laptops under $1200 are in the price range where you get a high-end laptop, with almost no compromise.

I said *almost* no compromise because you still cannot have it all at that price.

Don’t get me wrong, the best laptops under $1200 are built with much better quality than their mid-range siblings. But still, you won’t have *everything* here. For example, you can’t have a high-end graphics card and the best display on the market. Those parts are still a little too expensive for a $1200 laptop.

But don’t get me wrong. The best laptops under $2000 are really nice!

What to expect from a laptop under $1200

Few people will need more than a $1200 laptop. Whether you are looking for an ultra-thin notebook or for a laptop that offers a lot of performance, you’ve got them all here.

Choose what’s more important for you – performance, mobility, versatility – and you’ll get a really great $1200 laptop!

Casing Quality & Style

This is one of the most obvious differences between a sub $1200 laptop and mid-range laptops.

Here you get a laptop that’s made with metal alloys, aluminum or any other mix of high-quality material that will make it sturdier, lighter and look gorgeous.

No cheap plastic here or frames that bend. Only high-quality laptops.

Display

Most of the best laptops under $1200 are equipped with a jaw-dropping display. Some are equipped with a QHD, others with an HD display. But in both case, you should expect a highly colorful display with great brightness.

Performance

Performance will not be a problem! A $1200 laptop comes with more than enough power. The bare minimum here is a notebook with an i5 processor and 8 GB of RAM, which is sufficient to run most software. If you want more, you’ll find a great choice of laptops with i7 processors to run more demanding applications.

And, if you need a dedicated GPU to run 3D software – or games – some of them will come with one. Usually it’s an entry or mid-level GPU, but you can also find some with better graphics cards. (But note that if you are a real gamer, you should look specifically at gaming laptops).

Audio

The audio system in a laptop is usually an issue. In cheaper laptops, the manufacturers like to cut costs in this area. And even when they don’t want to do that, how do you get a great sound system in such a tiny space?

Well, thanks to nowadays technology, the major laptop brands are putting great audio components in the best laptops under $1200. More than enough to enjoy music or play a video during a meeting.

Acer Aspire 7

“Powerful Gaming Laptop & Affordable”

If gaming power and value is what you’re looking for, then the Acer Aspire 7 might be exactly what you need. It’s certainly one that delivers the most value on the market.

In a few words: a Ryzen 7 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and an ultra-powerful NVIDIA graphics card. You’ll have to comprise a little on other aspects like the dimmer HD display, but it’s definitely not a deal-breaker if you need a lot of power. Don’t expect the most portable, but for a 15-inch laptop, it’s not that bad under 5 pounds.

Acer Swift 5

“Powerful, Light with an Awesome Look”

This version of the Swift 5 is a clear improvement on the previous one. The first thing that strikes is the gorgeous, ultra-light casing that will definitely turn heads. Then, you get an all-powerful i7 processor with 16 GB of RAM.

Combine that with a 512 GB SSD drive, and you’re set for a computer that can go through anything (except heavy 3D, as it’s not equipped with a dedicated GPU).

“Awesome 12-inch”

If you’re looking for a tiny laptop that proved over and over that its the leader of its category, then look at the new version of the Microsoft Surface Pro.

This 12-inch detachable laptop is really a great piece of engineering. The display competes with the Apple iPad Pro display with its ultra-high definition and beautiful color rendering. And its design is solid, well-made, and beautiful.

It might be the size of a tablet, but don’t let its small footprint fool you… it got power. With an Intel i7, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB SSD, it has nothing to envy to the bigger laptops under $1200.

Really, again, a nice product by Microsoft. Read our full review.

# 6 to 10 Best laptops under $1200

6 – Acer Swift 7 – 14″ HD

acer swift 7

“The thinnest and lightest laptop”

The thinnest 14-inch ultraportable is at Acer, and it’s a marvel of design! This luxurious magnesium case weighs less than 2.7 lbs and lasts at least 10 hours away from an electrical outlet. Seeking to develop on its 15-inch Swift 7, Acer wanted to repeat its tour de force.

A masterpiece of design, the Swift 7 is an ideal travel companion. And it will turn head… But it does have a few flaws, like a weak audio output. But it is to be expected from such a thin laptop…

So all-in-all, it delivers good specs, has a gorgeous 14-inch screen and high autonomy. If you want the thinnest, this is the one to choose.

Pros
  • Incredibly thin
  • Very neat finish
  • Gorgeous display
  • Good autonomy
Cons
  • Weak Audio
  • Runs hot
  • Screen sensitive to reflections

With a gorgeous ultra-HD display, powerful components, a 3D graphics card and a high-quality build, it would already be one of the top laptops under $1200.

“Such a tiny notebook…”

The Asus Zenbook UX390UA is an incredibly small and thin 12-inch notebook. For someone often on the road, it’s the perfect companion.

So tiny, but it will still run your applications like any other quality laptop and, when you don’t use it, you’ll completely forget it’s in your bag. It’s really an all-around quality laptop that is definitely one of the best laptops under $1200.

Pros
  • Gorgeous
  • Ultra-thin & Light
  • Quite Powerful
Cons
  • Keyboard slightly shallow
  • Can run hot under heavy load

10 – Lenovo ThinkPad T470 – 14″ HD

Lenovo ThinkPad T470

“Ultra-Sturdy 14-inch”

The ThinkPad series is a clear leader in the business laptops market. And the Lenovo ThinkPad T470 is one of my favorite in that segment.

For a $1200 laptop, you get a good quality display – although a little dim for my taste – on an ultra-strong and classy-looking body. Drop this laptop and it won’t break! Know that the performance is average for this price range, as is the audio system. But still, it makes for a good business laptop.

Pros
  • High-Quality Sturdy Build
  • Great Keyboard

Cons
  • Display is a little dim
  • Audio could be better

Trying to find a new laptop today can be complicated. Not because there are so few, but because there are so many top-of-the-line options on the market right now!

Just about all of the major best laptop brands out there are putting out better and better laptops on a day to day basis – or at least that’s what it feels like – so you’re definitely going to have options when it’s time to buying your next machine.

Even then, some laptop brands are definitely head and shoulders above the rest of the pack, and we’ve broken down the very best laptop brands below!

Best Laptop Brands

Besides tech specs, the main differences between laptops are things like the operating system, bundled software, longevity, build quality, and so on. Every brand has their own track record when it comes to these aspects, and we’ll be going over many of these for each brand as well as the public’s general opinion on them.

The most important opinion, of course, is your own, and this top 12 list of best laptop brands should give you a fairly good idea of what company to seek out for your next laptop. It could end up saving you a bit of money both up-front and in the long term.

Do not choose a laptop solely on the brand name, but knowing a brand will help you start your search or confirm you choice

Of course, choosing a laptop has much more to do than only the brand, but not all brands are equal. Even if you buy a laptop from one of the best laptop brands, it doesn’t mean it’s going to be a good one. Brand is not everything. Make sure you research the model itself. As it is with cars and pretty much everything, quality and value will vary within the same brand. Make sure you review the quality and features of the model you are buying.

In this list, all are not equal. There are brands that offer a choice in about every product niche and others that focus on a niche market(s).

Best Laptop Brands – The Players

The market basically belongs to 6 major players: HP, Lenovo, Dell, Apple, Asus and Acer. All together they hold more than 80% of the market.

Lenovo and HP share the lead as the biggest computer and laptop manufacturers. They both hold about 20% of the market. Dell is third with about 15%. Then Apple, Asus and Acer have around 10% of the market each. Except for Apple, the major laptops brands all build a wide range of products, from cheap budget laptops, mid-range notebooks to high-end laptops.

After that comes the minor players that focus on a niche market, usually high-end laptops. MSI, Microsoft, Toshiba, Samsung and LG all have less than 2% of the market, some have only a fraction. They all build high-end products (except for Toshiba that also produce lower-cost laptops).

Top 12 Best Laptop Brands in 2020

#1 Asus – Quality and huge choice of products

Asus logo

We’ve put Asus as the best laptop brand because they offer a wide range of product and each of them rates very well in many aspects. Their products are world class quality, deliver good value, they have great and attractive design and they do have a good support and warranty. This Taiwanese manufacturer has been around for a long time and they have a wide range of products that can answer about anybody’s needs. They don’t rank the best in every market, but they do have great laptops at pretty much every price range. Their high-end laptops are also very good and the flagship Zenbook series is an incredible line of product.

#2 Lenovo – Business champion
Lenovo Logo

Lenovo is, with HP, one of the two biggest computer sellers in the world. Lenovo is probably the best business laptop brand and has always focused on creating very durable machines specifically built for serious business people. They are still building lot of different laptop models focused on the corporate sector, high-powered desktop replacement machines that business people absolutely love, but they also have many consumer-based options as well. Their Yoga line is probably the best in hybrid convertible laptops.  The Chinese manufacturer has kept pretty much the same design throughout the years. It’s a design I like, but it’s definitively not as appealing or flashy as other brands.

Lenovo is especially great at building mid-range laptops, business laptops and hybrid notebook.

#3 Dell – The king of service

Dell Logo

Dell went from a mail-order company that allowed you to “build your own” computer to an absolutely dominating force in the PC world. The American computer manufacturer constantly over-delivers in terms of quality of service. If you have a problem with their product, you know they will help you. Their featured products are always at – or near – the top in term of design and features. They have a wide line of product to suit every consumer that each delivers good value. They are the third best laptop brand in sales for a good reason.

#4 Apple – Design leader

Apple Logo

The California-based company is certainly one of the best laptop brands now and produces some of the most popular computers and laptops on the planet, and almost all of their machines – but especially the MacBook Pro line – are seen as the very best that money can buy today. Sure, they are on the expensive side, but they are worth it when it comes to design, quality, performance and overall usability. You should look into Apple laptops if you want a high-end laptop with MacOS and if you are not tight on budget.

#5 Acer – Leader in best value laptop

Acer Logo

Acer is a brand that offers a lot of value on their products. This other Taiwanese manufacturer did have a reputation of having lower quality products in the past, but these problems are long gone. The value offered in their laptops is often one step over the competition. They are good at giving better specs where it’s needed while minimizing drawbacks for their target market. You’ll often see an Acer laptop have better specs than other brands for the same price and quality. Their designs are usually appealing and their models often are on the top of the list.

#6 HP – The Major Player

HP logo

HP is another world leader in laptops and is very close with Lenovo as the top computer manufacturer in the world (they both have around 20% of the market). We rated HP #6 of the best laptop brands because their laptops are not always the best in their category, but they do manage to get a few products that beat every other. They produce quality laptops and some are excellent products. But they also produced laptops that were of questionable value. Nonetheless, HP is still and will continue to be a major player in the laptop world.

Best laptop brands – The rest of the pack

The next laptop brands on the list are marginal players in the laptop industry. They all have less than 5% of market share, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have good products. They usually concentrate on one or two niche market (except for Toshiba).

#7 MSI – The Gaming Brand

MSI Laptop Brand Logo

MSI is another Taiwanese laptop manufacturer (yes that rather small island in the Pacific does produce a lot of the world’s laptops). MSI is mainly renowned as a computer parts manufacturer but they also have a laptop line of product. They make good quality products aimed towards gaming and performance laptops and they are probably the best gaming brand. MSI will sell you a laptop starting at around $1000, up to a few thousand dollars. #8 Microsoft – High-end Niche

Microsoft Logo

Even if Microsoft is newer as a laptop manufacturer, they are already part of the best laptop brands. They produce only a few high-end laptops that are high quality, well-crafted machines that pack a lot of power (think Apple products). They build innovative computers and their main products are a very good choice if you’re looking towards a convertible laptop than can act as both a tablet and a real, powerful laptop.

# 9 Samsung – The Giant that sells few laptops

Samsung Logo

Samsung is the only Korean laptop brand on the list. They produce generally expensive high-end laptops. Their laptops design is elegant and the quality of their product is good and got even better over the years. Apart from their Chromebooks, you won’t find a budget laptop at Samsung.

#10 – Razer – Gaming Brand

Country of origin: USA

You chose Razer laptops for:

#11 LG – Focuses on ultraportable niche

Sony was among the decent laptop brands and has always been tiptoeing around the edges of the laptop worlds, offering updates to its Vaio line of products, but never really jumping into the mix with both feet. But they discontinued the laptop line and will not sell them anymore. If you are already a Sony laptop owner, don’t worry, they still give support for the laptop their sold.

When I look at the best laptops under $700, this is where I start to be less forgiving. You should too!

With the best laptops under 700 dollars, expect quality, sturdiness, and good specs.

With less expensive notebooks, I tend to allow a few compromises: a dimmer screen, weak sound system, etc. It’s normal. The manufacturers have to cut somewhere to produce a quality product.

At $700, I tend to be much harsher on flaws. You should expect quality. Not necessarily high-end features, but a solid laptop with good performance.

What to expect from the best laptops under $700

There are two kinds of laptops in this category: the ultra-thin 13 and 14-inch notebooks and the 15-inch gaming laptops.

$700 laptops should be slim and sturdy. You should see and feel that they are quality products. They’ll look premium and you should expect a classy look.

But if you are looking for a gaming 15-inch laptop under $700, you shouldn’t expect a thin and ultra-light one. For that, you have to go into higher-end laptops. But they are usually mid-range gaming laptops thanks to their dedicated graphic card that’ll play most recent games at good settings.

Casing Quality

As I already mentioned, do not settle for under-average quality. Your laptop should look, feel, and be premium, especially in the 12 to 14-inch range. If you go for a 15-inch gaming laptop, you might sacrifice a little on the metal casing and the look to be able to get the features you need (processing power, graphics card, etc.). But still, it should be solid and built to last.

Display

The screen should be HD. I don’t care which laptop you choose, if it’s not at least an HD screen – 1920 x 1080 – you’re paying too much. Good brightness and color vividness should be expected.

Most of the $700 laptops will have a standard integrated video card and that’s more than enough for most people. If you’re looking for a gaming laptop, some will have a mid-range NVIDIA or Radeon graphic card that’ll allow you to play almost every games at good settings.

Sound

Expect a sound system that is clear and quite loud. This is still a laptop – and not a higher-end one – so don’t expect a lot of basses or the best sound on the market, but it should be more than enough to enjoy the latest movie or your favorite album.

Asus VivoBook S510

“Light, Powerful & Portable”

I really like the Vivobook series in general, and this one is no exception. It delivers pretty much everything you expect in a laptop, at a price that won’t hurt.

If you’re looking for a great value multimedia laptop, the Asus Vivobook S15 should be your choice. It’s one of the lightest 15-inch laptop you can find on the market, and it’s quite powerful thanks to its i5 processor and NVIDIA MX150 graphics card.

It’s a great laptop to watch movies thanks to its good quality screen & loud audio and it also makes for a good video & photo editing machine. You also get a fast SSD – an upgrade from the previous version – so no more waiting for Windows to load! Read our full review.

“Awesome Quality Product with less RAM”

I was quite surprised to find a version of the Microsoft Surface for that price. While you have to sacrifice some RAM and storage space here, you get one of the best quality laptop/tablet detachable on the market.

Its screen is awesome, so is the sound and the battery will last a full day. The only drawback is that the keyboard/cover is sold separately. If you don’t require too much power and are willing to spend more for the keyboard, don’t hesitate to choose this one, it’s really a great quality choice and one of the best 2-in-1 laptops under 700 dollars. 3 – MSI GF63 – 15″ HD

MSI GF63

“Portable & Powerful Gaming Machine”

I’m still wondering how MSI managed to deliver such a powerful gaming laptop for such a low price. Usually they produce more expensive, high-performance gaming machines for hardcore gamers. But here they produced a powerful gaming machine at a mid-range price.

Sure, you don’t get a long battery life and the audio is quite weak, but those are the compromises to be made.

What you get is a portable, good-looking 15-inch with a graphics cards that belongs on $1500 gaming laptops.

This machine will run the latest games and when you’re done playing, you can bring it to college or bring it to work to use it as a powerful engineering laptop.

The Acer Spin 5 is a serious contender and is definitely one of the best 2-in-1 laptops under 700 dollars. Acer managed to deliver a lot of value at the right price in this well-built convertible notebook.

The HD screen is bright and it delivers quite a lot of power thanks to its i7 processor. They also made sure to put a 256 GB SSD to give you enough space and make it fast. It definitely deserves its spot on this list as one of the best 13-inch laptops under $700.

As part of the ThinkPad business laptops line, the Lenovo ThinkPad T460s is really a great product.

Like its siblings, it’s an ultra-sturdy device that won’t break easily, perfect for the careless salesman on the road! It also comes with a nice full-HD 14-inch display. And of course, it’s portable, so you won’t break your back carrying it all day.

It still has one of the best keyboards on the market and delivers more power than you’ll need to carry your everyday tasks. Again, Lenovo really did a great job here!

“Ultra-thin design”

When Acer launched their Swift series, I was amazed. How could they build such a lightweight and thin laptop that delivers such performance. Really a feat of engineering.

But the first version wasn’t without flaws. Some overheating here, a dim display there. But fortunately for us, Acer fixed the problem! It’s still not perfect. You can get better performance with the competition or a brighter display.

But overall, the Acer Swift 7 offers an awesome laptop under $700 that can hardly be beaten when it comes to looks, design, and overall value. Read our full review.

7 – Acer Aspire 5 – 15″ HD

Acer Aspire 5

“Great Value with GPU”

Acer changed its Aspire E15 line that was so successful to produce the Aspire 5 instead. It’s a welcome change!

Not only did they keep the value that made the previous versions famous, but they improved by creating a lighter, slimmer, and better-looking product.

They basically kept the same formula. Produce a high-value, good-looking laptop that delivers good performance, and that includes a decent graphics card for casual gamers.

The screen is still a bit dimmer than the competition, and the audio is still average. But that what the customers have liked about Acer’s line for years, so why change a winning formula?!

This one is sold as a business laptop under $700. The ThinkPad series always feature shock-resistant components that will survive the occasional drop and the glass of water that you unfortunately spill on your keyboard. For someone goofy or often on the road, that’s very useful.

For the rest, is follows the classic mid-range ThinkPad philosophy: offer a sturdy notebook with a great keyboard, while offering just enough elsewhere so that the average user won’t sacrifice much. In this case, the display is definitely not the best in the category with its lack of brightness, but is still good enough that most people working with it won’t see much difference. Performance-wise, there is nothing to complain about, it has the same configuration as most of the competition.

Overall, a nice-looking product that you should consider and clearly one of the best 15-inch laptops under 700 dollars.

What to expect with a gaming laptop under $ 700?

The graphics card and processor play an essential role in the case of a gamer config, so these are the most important features. However, several other parameters are to be considered.

The graphics card (GPU)

In the case of a portable gamer, the graphics card is the most crucial element, because it is the GPU that will handle the 3D modeling.

Always choose a laptop with a dedicated graphics card rather than an integrated graphics card. A so-called integrated graphics card is contained in the motherboard, it is often just a simple chip for 2D graphics. It won’t handle games well.

For less demanding games, like Minecraft or Fortnite, you won’t need to invest in very advanced equipment. For newer, resource-hungry games, however, you will need to invest in a slightly more powerful card, such as the NVIDIA GTX 1650. This will give you more 60 fps on GTA 5.

Processor (CPU) and RAM

In order of importance, after the graphics card comes the processor.

For gaming, choose a laptop with an i5 processor, at the minimum. An i7 is even better. RAM also plays an essential role. To have a fluid game, get at least 8 GB of RAM.

The screen

For gaming, a 15-inch laptop is the most common. They have the advantage of a sufficiently large display while limiting the impact on the autonomy, the weight, and the price. Also, a full HD (1080p) is a minimum here to enjoy the graphics of your favorite games.

Storage: HDD vs SSD

HDD (magnetic hard drive) is the most classic, but it is now completely supplanted by SSD. The latter has the advantage of the speed and can run your programs in seconds – including launching the operating system and applications.

For gaming, a minimum of 256 GB is preferable, although if you can get a 512 GB SSD, it’s even better. The most interesting case is certainly the combination of an HDD and an SSD, where you get both speed & storage, but this remains inaccessible at this price range.

Transport and portability

It is certainly not the primary objective of a gaming PC, but if you need to carry it around, you should check its weight. Gaming laptops are known to be heavier than traditional laptops. If portability is important, try to get a lightweight laptop under 4.5 lbs.

Specs for the Top 6 Best Gaming Laptops under $700

Graphics 13 to 17-inch

RAM 8 to 16 GB
Storage 256 to 512 GB

Top 6 Best Gaming Laptops under $700

1 – MSI GF63 – 15″ HD

MSI GF63

“Powerful & lightweight gaming laptop”

The MSI GF63 is a quite powerful 15-inch gaming PC focused on mobility thanks to a new thin & light chassis. Powerful is the first adjective that comes to mind when approaching this MSI GF63. Indeed, its Intel i5 processor combined with 8 GB of RAM will give you enough power. But more importantly, it boasts a powerful GTX 1650 that will run the most recent games.

Its sober and compact design is another asset. Indeed, it will be one of the most portable gaming laptops you’ll find on the market. So you can both have a gaming laptop to play your favorite games, but you can also carry it outside your home to go to school or go work in a café. It’s not something that most gaming laptops will allow you to do.

So for its powerful GPU, portability, and price, this is probably the best 700 dollars gaming laptop.

Pros
  • Good Looking
  • Lightweight for a Gaming Laptop
  • RAM and storage easy to upgrade
Cons
  • Battery Life Could Be Better
  • Mediocre Audio

2 – Asus TUF FX505DT – 15″ HD

Asus TUF FX505

“No Intel needed in this gaming laptop”

The Asus TUF family wants to delight players looking for a reliable device that’s able to run most games without flinching.

All that without breaking the bank. The FX505DT model fits this description fairly well. With its slightly crude foundry look, the TUF FX505DT immediately sets the tone. No frills, we are there to play, not to yawn.

Almost 1-inch thick and 4.9 lbs heavy, the case is entirely constructed of sturdy black plastic, with successful brushed metal effects. It is not the most portable $700 gaming laptop, but it’s also not that bad.

Asus signs a $700 gaming laptop for occasional gamers, looking for a good product. This TUF FX505DT fulfills its function, with its qualities and its flaws (don’t expect a long battery life).

The Acer Aspire 5 is a compact 15-inch laptop designed for everyday use. It has one of the best quality / price ratio and has all the assets to seduce. From a well-designed chassis, solid performance to a decent battery life of 7 hours, the manufacturer aimed for a balanced laptop that will fit most people’s needs, and indeed they succeeded!

The hinge that serves as an articulation between the keyboard and the screen is very well done and adds a real cachet to the device. The hinge that holds the screen is solid, one of the best of all the 2-in-1 laptops.

As for the specs, there is something to celebrate. It’s powerful enough for casual gamers. Also, the keyboard is nice to use, as is the trackpad.

No, the Surface Book is not the “ultimate” gaming laptop, but we must admit that it has a lot to offer. It’s impossible not to salute its high-quality screen, its very solid construction, its comfort of use, or its autonomy which guarantees a long day of nomadic work. However, we do not give it 5 stars, because there is still room to progress. We would like, for example, that Microsoft improves the temperature management, and that the connectivity gains in variety.

Anyway, the Surface Book remains a very attractive hybrid that has a real identity, something increasingly rare on the laptop market. Read our full review.

Best Gaming LaptopsIf you’re looking for the best gaming laptops on the market, you’re exactly at the right place!

First, you have to know that gaming laptops are expensive, more than most laptops. Why is that? In two words: Performance and Quality.

You see, to build a good gaming laptop you need, at the minimum a decently powerful processor and a dedicated graphics card. Just for those parts, you’ll pay the price of a budget laptop… So to get something decent, you’ll have to purchase at least a mid-range laptop.

How much to spend?

You’ll have to spend around $800 to get a good gaming laptop for casual gamers.  If you’re a more serious gamer, between $1000 and $1500 will definitely get you a laptop that’ll play the most recent games at high settings. Spend around $2000 and you’ll definitely get one of the best gaming laptops on the market.

What to expect from the Best Gaming Laptops

Of course, the price you pay directly impacts the quality and performance of your laptop. Gaming laptops are by definition more expensive than regular notebooks since they need more powerful components, more storage space, better casing quality, a responsive display, etc.

Performance

To have a decent gaming laptop, you need a powerful CPU and, at least, a decent graphics card. Games are resource-intensive and without those two, you won’t be able to enjoy your games.

Processing Power

Preferably, you want an i7 processor to give you the best performance, but an i5 will also do the trick. Only go with an i3 if you’re really looking to save money.

Graphics Card

This is the most important component for a gaming laptop. Unless you’re looking to run undemanding games or are willing to play at ultra-low-resolution, you absolutely need a dedicated graphics card. The more powerful, the better.

You see, most laptops don’t come with a dedicated GPU, which means that they don’t have a specific component to process graphics. So the graphics processing is all done by the CPU… and it’s pretty bad at doing so…

Usually you’ll want at least a mid-range card. This will allow you to play not-so-recent games at mid-high settings and the latest game at medium settings.

If you’re looking to know where a specific graphics card stands, look at this great article.

Display

Gaming requires a good screen with good brightness and refresh rates. You’ll also want one that has good color reproduction.

Generally, you can expect mid-range gaming laptops to give you a decent display, but nothing exceptional. Laptop manufacturers usually prefer to invest in performance rather than display quality here. Only when you get into high-end gaming laptops that you’ll see a display that is really built for gaming.

Casing & Quality

A real gaming laptop should a quality frame with good ventilation. Running those heavy games is very demanding and creates a lot of heat. That’s why gaming laptops are often bulkier than regular notebooks. Having a slim frame is great for portability, but not for ventilation.

Usually you’ll find that mid-range gaming laptops are more mainstream. They are usually slimmer and don’t have that aggressive gaming look with big air vents to make sure the components are cooled correctly.

Best Gaming Laptops Guides

Best Gaming Laptops under $500

Let me start by saying this: skip this category if you want a real gaming laptop. $500 is not enough for the expensive components a gaming laptop requires.

But if you are on a budget and that’s all you have, we still found some decent laptops that will be able to run not-too-demanding games at low-resolution.

Don’t make it your first choice, but if that’s all you can afford, check them out!

Expect a quite decent graphics card and a CPU that will perform with most games. You might have to reduce settings here and there, but for the value you get, there is nothing to complain about here!

Best Gaming Laptops under $800

This is an interesting category. Surprisingly, laptop manufacturers nowadays manage to create pretty powerful machines at those prices.

Of course, to equip a gaming laptop with powerful components and keep the price low, they have to sacrifice on something. Sometimes it’s the display that not too bright, sometimes it’s the audio system that a bit weak, and sometimes you’ll get a slower hard-drive. But to get a good gaming laptop at those prices, its sacrifices that are worth it!

If you want to play the latest game at the highest settings, you’ll have to go for a more expensive gaming laptop. But if you’re a casual gamer that will accept to lower some settings a little, these devices are going to be great.

What to expect from the Best Gaming Laptops under $800

For sure, you will be satisfied with gaming laptops under 800 dollars if you are a casual gamer. This is the kind of laptop I have and I’m pretty happy with the performance. For the latest games you’ll have to lower the video settings, but otherwise it’s a pretty satisfying experience.

If you are a more experienced player, you can still find a laptop that will run your games, but you’ll have to lower your expectations on other aspects.

Casual or Hardcore Gamer?

The type of laptop you buy depends on the type of gamer you are. You basically have 2 choices.

Either you go for an $800 gaming laptop that has a powerful GPU to render the most recent games, but you sacrifice here & there. Or you purchase one with an entry / mid-level GPU but you get a better display & a more portable gaming laptop.

if you are a casual gamer, go for a more lightweight laptop that has an entry-level GPU. You probably don’t need the powerful GPU and you’ll end up with a more satisfying laptop. They usually compromise less on the display brightness and battery life, which is something casual gamers will prefer.

If you are an avid gamer, choose a GPU that will run those high-demanding games. Choose an NVIDIA 1650 or 1050 – or anything similar – and you won’t be disappointed. You’ll have a laptop that’s made mostly of plastic & that is less portable, but that does its main purpose: run 3D games & apps.

To sum it up, you’ll have to sacrifice something here. The graphics card, the screen quality and the sound system are all satisfying, but you won’t get the best of everything. You can get a powerful GPU, but you’ll have a dimmer screen. You can have a portable device, but it won’t be the most powerful.

Top 11 Best Gaming Laptops under $800

1 – MSI GF63 – 15″ HD

MSI GF63

“Gaming Brand at Affordable Price”

You see their name in worldwide gaming competitions, and there is a reason for that. MSI is known for gaming, that’s pretty much all they’re focused on. While you’d usually see their name mostly in $1500 gamings laptops (or more), this one is different. They wanted to compete in the lower-end gaming market, and I must say they did a pretty good job.

With the MSI GF63, you end-up with a good-looking gaming laptop that’s powerful enough to run recent games. MSI expertise allows the laptop to keep cool even when you ask a lot from it, something you won’t see in every gaming laptop under 800 dollars.

Of course they had to sacrifice somewhere, namely the battery life and the audio, but this doesn’t make it less valuable. Also, they managed to make it one of the lightest $800 gaming laptops you can find, something you are going to appreciate if you need a laptop for college!

Pros
  • Good Looking
  • Lightweight for a Gaming Laptop
  • RAM and storage easy to upgrade
Cons
  • Battery Life Could Be Better
  • Mediocre Audio

2 – Lenovo Ideapad L340 – 15″ HD

Lenovo Ideapad L340

“Powerful with Large Hard-Drive”

Lenovo has its own line of expensive gaming laptops, but this is not one of them. This is a good-looking & quite portable gaming laptop that will satisfy the casual and not-so-casual gamer in you.

You get a good mid-range graphics card, a larger-than-competition hard drive, and a surprisingly good battery life. That’s quite a lot for a good gaming laptop under 800 dollars. As the rest of the laptops on this list, the display is not the best, and I find the USB placement awkward – but still, it’s a great choice.

Definitely, the Lenovo L340 should be on your list if you are looking for a gaming laptop for 800 dollars.

Pros
  • Stylish & Portable
  • Good Battery Life
  • Bigger Hard-Drive than Most Competition
Cons
  • Narrow Viewing Angles & Dim Colors
  • Lack of USB Ports &amp Weird Placement

3 – Dell G3 15 3579 – 15″ HD

Dell G3 15 3579

“Good performance, but heavy”

In the line of affordable $800 gaming laptops, this Dell is definitely worth it.

They took the same road as some others in compromising on the screen brightness to deliver a gaming laptop that will allow you to play recent games without any problem. So if you like to play video games in your backyard on a bright summer day… this might not be your best choice!

But if you are like most people and play in a normally lit room, you’ll appreciate the performance delivered by the NVIDIA GTX 1050. Add that to an SSD drive and a decent i5 processor, and you’ll understand that they really targeted the affordable gaming laptop buyer.

It is quite heavy though… so it’s not a laptop that you’ll want to carry around every day. You can, but I don’t suggest it at 5.6 lbs. But the good news is that you do get pretty good speakers for that category.

Pros
  • Affordable Gaming Device
  • Powerful Graphics Card
  • Good Battery Life
Cons
  • Brightness on the low side

4 – Asus TUF FX505DT – 15″ HD

Asus TUF FX505

“Great Value Gaming Laptop”

This Asus TUF – interesting branding choice – is a performance laptop for someone that doesn’t want to spend too much, but that still wants a good graphics card and fast CPU. With the GTX 1650 and the AMD Ryzen 5, you’ll be able to play recent games at high-resolution without a problem. Of course, we’re not talking here about high-performance gaming, but as an affordable gaming laptop under 800 dollars, you do get a lot of value.

I like the style of the casing, even if made of plastics (don’t expect all-metal in this category). I’d have preferred a brighter display and longer battery life, but that’s the compromise that most laptop manufacturers make in this category.
All-in-all, you get a lot for your money!

  • Powerful Graphics

Cons
  • Terrible Battery Life
  • Average Display

5 – Acer Nitro 5 – 15″ HD

Acer Nitro 5

“Affordable high-performance”

With the Acer 5 Nitro, Acer did what it does best: compromise just here and there to offer what the user wants the most.

What does that mean? They decided to offer an attractive & affordable laptop that gives one of the best gaming performance in its category. With this one, you’ll be able A games at high settings without a problem. That’s what you are looking for in a gaming laptop under $800, and they gave it to you.

But, you’ll have to sacrifice on the display. Sure you still get an HD display that will play games just fine, but it is quite dim. So don’t expect to play under bright light with this one. But Acer has bet that you won’t and that most people looking for an affordable. Also, the plastic design is not the sturdiest and heats more easily than others. But again, it’s a compromise. But it does look nice!

Where I think Acer should improve next time is the keyboard. It is comfortable for gaming, but for typing it’s not the best. But apart from that, you have a pretty good deal here!

  • Very nice keyboard

I like the Asus K570ZD. Like its predecessors, it offers a lot without breaking the bank. It doesn’t have the brightest display, but it’s certainly one of the good gaming laptops under 800 dollars. It packs quite a lot of power thanks to its NVIDIA 1050 that will run most recent games, and it has a nice-looking, lightweight design. Those are good specs to play most recent games. The format is not the smallest, but for a 15-inch it’s acceptable. What to expect from the best Chromebooks under 400$?

Chromebooks in 2020 are more accessible and powerful than ever before, with more flexibility, longer battery lives, more storage and that’s just the beginning. But as with any other product, there are things you need to analyze before making that big purchase.

Like any other laptop or gadget, if you just go and buy your first one without knowing if it will be the correct selection for your needs, you’ll possibly end up refunding it or disliking it the whole time you own it.

Looking at specific features in a Chromebook can assist you in making sure that you’re buying what you really want.

Design

The best Chromebooks under 400 dollars are available in 2 variants. The traditional clamshell and as a 2-in-1 laptop. When you consider buying a Chromebook for under $400, make sure that you know which will suit your needs.

If you do a lot of sketching or drawing, then a 2-in-1 may be a decent choice for you as the hinge allows the laptop to fold the keyboard behind the monitor and become a tablet.

While If you’re a writer or a blogger, then the clamshell design may be better for you as the tablet feature might not be a crucial selling point for you.

RAM

The amount of memory that your Chromebook has is crucial. It helps all the programs that you have and the device itself runs quickly so you don’t run into lag times.

The standard amount of RAM that you’ll get in a Chromebook under 400 is 4GB. So if you’re only going to utilize the laptop for browsing the web or watching videos online, then that’s a good amount for you.

However, if you plan on performing tasks that will push the Chrome OS, then you will need to aim for something slightly larger. Some models have a range of RAM available from 8 to 16 GB, but they will cost you more than $400.

Storage

The standard amount of storage that you’ll get in a Chromebook under $400 would range from 16 to around 64 GB. But with the Chrome OS on a Chromebook, the storage generally favors utilizing options such as Google Drive or DropBox.

In some ways, this may be suitable for some. As long as you have an internet connection, you can access your files and with Google Drive, you can arrange your documents to help you to access them offline.

Processor

There are several aspects to consider when purchasing a new Chromebook and the processor is one of them. The processor your Chromebook uses is crucial because it’s directly linked to your Chromebook’s performance.

Since you are looking to buy a good budget Chromebook under $400, you’ll get some powerful enough processors like Celeron, MediaTek, or Intel i3.

With these processors, your Chromebook will fluently do tasks like web surfing, writing essays, or watching videos, but keep in mind that it won’t be able to perform tasks that demand high-specs.

Display Quality

In the best Chromebooks under 400 dollars, you won’t have to compromise with its display quality as you will get the quality ranging from 1366×768 to full sharp HD display quality of 1920×1080.

And in a Chromebook under $400, you also get to choose from both the options of touchscreen or non-touchscreen, based on your needs.

1 – Acer Chromebook Aspire R13 – 13″ HD Convertible

acer aspir r13 chromebook

“Slicker, Faster & Durable”

I’m sure that the Acer Aspire R13 Chromebook will make your friends jealous. It’s a slicker and faster machine with a screen that gives you the greatest pictures and YouTube flicks, which are easy to get stuck watching all afternoon.

It also has a touch screen and you can use the on-screen keyboard. I like how it weighs and it doesn’t feel like a toy. It is built right and will be able to take a few bumps and bruises.

But a couple of downsides that I find in it are that everything needs to be connected to the internet to use it, and switching between apps sometimes loses mouse control.

I think this 13-inch 2-in-1 laptop would be good for a student, a new user, or even a pro.

Pros
  • Display quality is nice
  • Great battery life
  • The touch screen/pad work great
Cons
  • No backlit keyboard

“Amazing specs & responsive user interface”

This Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA is well-specced for its price point.

It comes with a solid physical case and a beautiful, bright IPS Screen with full 1080p resolution. User interfaces are tight, responsive, and comparable to Apple’s grade quality. The backlit keyboard rocks and it has an amazing battery life of up to 10-11hrs.

But it’s 2 USB-C’s pretty much guarantees that you are going to be investing in an adaptor to carry around with you.

I’m sure you’ll like this device and find that the purchase is well worth it.

3 – Lenovo Chromebook C340 – 11″

lenovo chromebook c340

“Beautiful look & elegant colors”

The Lenovo Chromebook C340 is a follow up to a very popular Chromebook, the C330. And it improves in almost every single way. What makes this device great is the combination of all its parts for a low price.

One of the things that Lenovo did to improve the overall build quality of the C340, is to add an aluminum lid on the top and add some color choices. It feels nice & firm and is not overly thick or chunky but it feels like it can take a beating and I just like the way it looks on a table and feels good in the hand.

The Lenovo Chromebook C340 has an IPS panel of about 180 nits, good colors, and great viewing angles. For a device in this price range, I think it hits all the points you’re looking for and it’s definitely one of the best Chromebooks under 400 dollars.

4 – Asus Chromebook C204MA – 11″

“Good battery life, durability & user friendly”

If you’re looking for a Chromebook that can withstand the folding, sliding, and rough usage by a child, then I would highly recommend you to go for the Asus Chromebook C204MA.

You can use it for your children’s online classes and it will work great for your needs. It’s a great size and very user friendly. The battery life is great, it’s not heavy, it’s very versatile, and above all, it can withstand a very rough 8-year-old boy folding and sliding it all over the place. Even if you drop it a few times, you won’t see any scratches or cracks on the screen

5 – Lenovo Chromebook C330 – 11″ Convertible

lenovo chromebook c330

“Lightweight & strong build quality”

For the price, the Lenovo Chromebook C330 is a great Chromebook. It checks a lot of boxes and I’ve done my fair share of research.

It has a solid build quality with nice sturdy plastic chassis, that keeps it lightweight, a touchscreen with an IPS display, 4 GB of RAM, and 32+ GB of storage which is rare at this price point.

It has a nice feel to the keyboard and trackpad. The arm processor is optimized for the Google play store apps and runs much better than the Celeron you see in most low-end Chromebooks.

You get a lot for a Chromebook under $400 and you can’t really find such options within this price range. But the only thing I wish it had was an FHD display. 1366×768 still looks sharp on an 11.6″ screen but it would be super sharp if it was 1080p. Overall, I would highly recommend this Chromebook.

Pros
  • Solid build & nice sturdy plastic chassis
  • Touchscreen with an IPS display
  • Nice feel to the keyboard & track pad
Cons
  • Hard to pair with bluetooth devices

6 – Asus Chromebook C523 – 15″

“Multitasking & responsive touchscreen”

The Asus Chromebook C523 is everything you were hoping for and more. It replicates the Chrome experience from a regular full-featured computer. You can use it for accessing work via Citrix Workspace, browsing, online search, research, emailing, occasionally watching movies, videos, and reading. This thing functions perfectly for all of these things and is really fast.

If you are not expecting more than what desktop Chrome brings you, then the Asus Chromebook C523 is more than satisfying. Its nice touchscreen makes browsing super easy and responsive to all the usual finger gestures.

The battery life is also great and if you Turn off the Bluetooth when you are not using it, then it will easily get you a battery life of up to 10 hours.

All in all, you’ll need some minor setting adjustments to bring it up to the full potential for your personal use, but you will get there. A good 15-inch laptop by Acer.

7 – Dell Chromebook 3189 – 11″

dell chromebook 3189

“Student-friendly, Good Audio & Futuristic design”

The Dell Chromebook 3189 runs Google’s operating system and also bends back into a tablet in tent mode. So students can easily use the touch screen and show their classmates what they are working on.

Though this 11″ Chromebook doesn’t have the strongest performance or brightest screen, the Dell Chromebook 3189 steerable chassis, strong audio, and long battery life makes it a great choice for young students.

It has a grey plastic aesthetic and the cover has a decent logo in the center and a chrome logo in the top corner. Its corners are rounded and the entire outside edge is covered in a rubberized strip. It  help to protect it from bumps & shocks. The hinges are stiff enough to keep the lid in place as you bend it back into a tablet but loose enough for a young person to move without straining.

  • Good value for the price
Cons
  • No touchscreen

8 – Dell Inspiron Chromebook 11 – 11″

dell inspiron chromebook 11 3181

“Good connectivity, responsive keys & clean look”

The Dell Inspiron Chromebook 11 has a plasticky build. But the good part is that these kinds of plastics are very durable and very kid-friendly. It bends but it doesn’t crack and doesn’t break. It’s not particularly light, as it is 1.4 Kg which is a little bit hefty. It has a TN panel, it’s 1366×768, so it’s a 720p matt non-touch panel.

The Bluetooth connects easily to everything and the keyboard is also very nice. If you are a good typist then you can easily type around 100 wpm on it. I like the keyboard and touchpad a lot. The keys are responsive and quiet. Overall, they’re nice, clean, simple design, and easy to keep clean.

9 – Acer Chromebook 11 – 11″

acer chromebook 11

“Elegant look & Good performance”

Although the Acer Chromebook 11 is an entry-level Chromebook, it will impress you with its performance. It comes with an Apollo light processor, 4 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, and an IPS display of 1366×768.

The Acer Chromebook 11 looks much more elegant as compared to the other entry-level Chromebooks. It has a cool textured finish & even though it is a plastic build, it looks metallic. And the same goes for the interiors, it has a textured finish which gives this Chromebook an aesthetic appeal. The keyboard gives a  very comfortable typing experience and the keys are also nicely spaced. It’s a touchscreen Chromebook and the trackpad is very large for an 11.6″ device.

One thing that you should keep in mind is that this Chromebook is an entry-level Chromebook, so you are not looking for some high-end specs. Instead, this is perfect for students, younger kids, or maybe for your family. This Acer definitely deserves its spot on this list of the best Chromebook for under 400 dollars!

  • Battery holds a 10 hours charge
  • Display is bright
  • Keyboard feels great
Cons
  • Very basic use only

10 – Lenovo Chromebook S330 – 14″

lenovo chromebook s330

“Long battery life & Travel-friendly”

The Lenovo Chromebook S330 is an outstanding budget Chromebook. It is a perfect reminder of what a Chromebook should be- cheap, long battery, zippy web browsing, worry-free usage, optimized port selection. The size is right, the keys feel great, and the trackpad is also fine.

I like how well this thing keeps a charge for about 8-10 hours, and charges quickly, making it travel-friendly. The USB-C can’t be beaten, and it still has a headphone jack, HDMI, regular USB, and a slot for SD cards. It’s a Chromebook, you don’t need it to be very powerful. So for what you’ll use it for, it will work perfectly.

The only issue I have with it is that it is only 720P, but for a 14″ screen that isn’t a real big deal.

If you’re in the market for a Chromebook, you can’t do much better especially for the price. You won’t believe how much value you get out of a Chromebook under 400.

Pros
  • Very simple & practical
  • Good screen resolution
  • Excellent battery life
  • Great value
Cons
  • Non-HD Display

What to except from the best Chromebook under 500?

It’s an incredible time to purchase a Chromebook. These lightweight, versatile laptops are fascinating an increasing number of fans for their simplicity of use, their speed, and mostly their low prices. There’s no necessity to install extra software or any security packages, you won’t see any bloating or slowing down, and you can now operate Android apps on Chrome OS as well.

But the problem that comes up while buying a new Chromebook is that we don’t really know what to expect and what specs are good enough for a Chromebook. So to prevent you from making any kind of mistakes, I’ve listed these few specs & qualities that you should look for and expect from a Chromebook under $500 and should not settle for anything less than this.

Display Quality

The usual standard display resolution on a Chromebook under 500 dollars will be 1920 x 1080 pixels, otherwise known as 1080p.

But a few Chromebooks under $500 have a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, otherwise known as 720p. For most midsize Chromebooks with display size from 13″ to 15″, 720p or 1080p are just fine.

CPU and Processor

For a Chromebook under 500, you should expect a CPU like a Celeron or Pentium. They will serve you just fine if all you do is browse with a tab or two open. A few Chromebook models, however, feature AMD CPUs too. They will have processors like Celeron, MediaTek, Pentium, or Intel i3 which will deliver ample performance to perform well.

RAM

A Chromebook under 500 will have around 4 to 8 GB of RAM and it should offer a fine user experience for all your everyday basic tasks.

Internal Storage

While using a Chromebook you should know that majority of your files will be stored in the cloud.

As a result, Chromebooks come with only a minor serving of based storage, usually ranging from 16 to 64 GB, on which you can save your local creations. You can also look for an SD card slot if you wish to save more files on the device.

Display Size and Design

In the best Chromebooks under $500, you get various screen size options to choose from. Usually, they are available from 11-inch to 14-inch.

Some of the models even have convertible designs that let you fold the Chromebook into different forms and use it in different modes, like a normal laptop or a tablet, or in tent mode, display mode, or even for presentation use, along the lines of 360-degree-rotating models.

Top 10 Best Chromebooks under $500

1 – Samsung Chromebook Pro – 12″ HD Convertible

Samsung Chromebook 3 X500C13

“High-end, Light & Sturdy”

The Samsung Chromebook Pro is surprisingly striking considering its price of under 500. Its distinctive metallic jet-black finish is unlike most other Chromebooks and I’m a fan. When you pop the laptop open, you’re met with more black.

The Samsung Chromebook Pro, fortunately, managed to feel both, lightweight and sturdy. The Chromebook Pro’s internals are pretty standard. You get an Intel Core m3 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage, typical for a Chromebook under 500.

The display however is a standout, the 12-inch touchscreen features a 2400×1600 resolution, which means text and images look wonderfully sharp. Color & brightness are excellent as well. To be honest, the screen of the Samsung Chromebook Pro is one of the best screens you’ll find in a Chromebook.

And the feature that would be a deal-maker for some of you is the Samsung’s S Pen Stylus. The pen has a few custom features that you won’t find on any other Chromebooks. But I’m not happy with the latency when using the pen, it feels laggy sometimes.

Pros

Cons

2 – Lenovo Flex 5 Chromebook – 13″ HD Convertible

lenovo chromebook flex 5

“Simple & Convertible with amazing display”

As with so many Lenovo products, the Flex 5 is an unassuming and understated laptop. Closed-up, it looks just like a basic gray slab, not too thin at 2/3rd of an inch or too light at just under 3 pounds. It’s your basic 13-inch 2-in-1 laptop and that vibe is the same when you open it up.

The 13-inch touchscreen has decently small bezels on 3 or 4 sides, with a thick strip at the bottom and a webcam. The screen itself is pretty excellent for a device under 500. It also has a 360-degree hinge, so you can flip the screen all the way around to use the device as a rather heavy tablet.

But I think Lenovo could have done better with its viewing angles and brightness, as the reflections & brightness on the Flex 5 are pretty harsh. Overall, the color and contrast make everything pop and the 1080p resolution is solid on a display this size.

Pros
  • Sleek & elegant
  • Small size
  • Great keyboards & perfectly spaced keys
Cons
  • Short battery life

3 – HP Chromebook x360 – 14″ Convertible

hp chromebook x360

“All-in-one Chromebook with amazing build quality”

The HP Chromebook x360 shows up at a time where there are a lot of excellent choices in the market right now but if I was gonna buy a Chromebook, this would be the one I would get. With the HP Chromebook x360, HP has taken all the good stuff and has put it together in this total package.

HP has done a really good job with its build. It’s not solid aluminum like some of the other Chromebooks but it’s three-quarters aluminum. So you get the anodized lid and an interesting white finish at the top. The inside is Gorilla Glass and aluminum on the keyboard deck. When we open the lid, we get a pretty standard 1366×768 resolution touchscreen, wide viewing angles, great color, and 300 nits of brightness display that just performs really well.

The only negatives that I can think of are if you really really need a Stylus, it does not come with one of those and some of you might also find the gray color on the bottom weird with its white color.

Overall, it checks almost all the boxes and you should definitely consider buying one.

Pros
  • Well Built
  • Small ∧ lightweight
  • Outstanding battery life
Cons
  • The screen is sometimes wonky

4 – Acer Chromebook 714 – 14″ HD

acer chromebook 714

“Premium look with good viewing angle”

The Acer Chromebook 714 is a standard clamshell Chromebook and it feels great.

So let’s start off with it’s built quality. The Acer Chromebook 714 is put together in a way that it feels more cohesive and more premium. It is all aluminum, nice & tight, the bezels are small, it doesn’t pick fingerprints and everything feels good about it.

It’s an Chromebook under $500 but looks like an expensive, premium, high-end Chromebook. It has a full HD 1080p anti-glare touchscreen, good viewing angles and you also get the benefit of super-thin bezels. It is not convertible and doesn’t try to be one. It does fold flat but I don’t find any situation when I want to keep it flat.

One of my favorite things that I look for in any Chromebook but get let down almost every time, is that you can lift the hinge with one finger. But the good thing is that the Acer Chromebook 714 didn’t let me down and its hinges did lift up with one finger pretty easily, giving users a more premium experience.

Pros
  • Great build & quality
  • Sleek & elegant
  • Great keyboard
  • Good autonomy of battery
Cons
  • Poor screen

5 – Acer Chromebook Aspire R13 – 13″ HD Convertible

acer aspir r13 chromebook

“Lightweight with good battery life”

The Acer Aspire R13 has a 13.3″ IPS touch display and it’s nice to see a full 1080p on this Chromebook. The casing is all metal and the hinges have a pretty good amount of friction to it but my only concern with it is the hinge in tablet mode because in tablet mode it looks like it flexes a bit, so you have to be careful with that.

With the Acer Aspire R13, you’ve got 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a quad-core processor, which performs better than many of the other under 500 Chromebooks.

It has an impressive 10-12 hours of battery life, weighs around 1.49 Kg, and has a fan-less & completely solid-state of course.

The audio quality is not that great but it is good enough for web conferencing or maybe some video watching. But for listening to music, I’d suggest using a pair of headphones. In any cas, this is definitely one of the best best 2-in-1 chromebook under 500.

Pros
  • Display quality is nice
  • Great battery life
  • The touch screen/pad work great
Cons
  • No backlit keyboard

“Lightweight & Travel-friendly”

You can use the Asus Chromebook C423NA as your main business laptop too, as it is lightweight and easy to carry around.

The battery life is all day, the OS is crisp and quick, and the new version of the OS will allow you to download your favorite android apps from PlayStore. The OS will allow you to run Linux programs by opening the Linux terminal in its apps. The power cube is good too.

The USB-C cord and port are very convenient as it allows you to charge multiple devices simultaneously. Finally, the keyboard is solid and will not slow you down.

Coming from Windows, one thing that annoys me about this is the lack of a delete key and a snipping tool and also the audio quality could have been better. But it still deserves to be on this list of the top chromebooks under 500 dollars.

Pros
  • Robust construction & nice design
  • Price more than adequate
  • Ergonomic & spacious keyboard
Cons
  • Audio slightly below average
  • Screen size is restrictive

7 – Acer Chromebook R11 – 11″ Convertible

Acer Chromebook R11

“Convertible with glossy touchscreen”

With the Acer Chromebook R11, you get a touchscreen as well as a 2-in-1 capability, so the screen can go back a lot further and you can use it in different forms as you like. You can turn it into a big tablet, use it in tent mode, display mode, or just use it as a regular laptop.

It weighs around 1.2 Kg and is powered by Pentium N3150 that is a quad-core processor. It has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

The display is an 11.6″ IPS display and has a glossy touchscreen. It is a plastic build but has an aluminum build on the top to protect the screen. There’s a little webcam at the top, nothing spectacular but good enough for doing Google Hangouts and that sort of stuff.

The keyboards are really very nice and Google actually sanctions the size of these keys, it has a really good travel time and distance.

But I’m a bit disappointed with its narrow viewing angles.

Pros
  • Inexpensive

  • Decent Audio
Cons
  • Narrow Viewing Angles

When it comes to productivity, the Asus Chromebook C300SA takes the cake. It also looks so clean and simple. I’m sure you’d love having everything on your Google Drive, and with this $500 Chromebook sharing things is super easy.

It has a display size of 13.3″, a resolution of 1366×768, Pentium N3060, 4GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.

Also, I was surprised by how much audio the speakers puts out, especially for a $500 Chromebook. Last but not the least, the battery lasts forever.

9 – Acer Chromebook Spin 311 – 11″ Convertible

acer chromebook spin 311

“Convertible, Multipurpose everyday Chromebook”

The Acer Chromebook Spin 311 delivers a super-responsive everyday performance, whether it is for productivity or just for entertainment, this Chromebook gets the job done.

It comes with an 11.6″ display and 8 hours of battery life. It has a convertible 360-degree design which is really cool because you can use it in 4 different modes. It has an HD IPS display, comes with an option of touch & non-touchscreen, and has 4GB of RAM & an eMMC storage of up to 32GB.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 311 weighs just over 1Kg, so it is perfect if you’re using it on the go, taking it for a trip around school or work. It is very convenient, multipurpose, and when you just wanna wind down and watch a good Netflix show, it’s perfect for that as well.

You get to download a lot of applications on here and everything runs very smoothly. Another thing is that the set up of this Chromebook is relatively simple and pretty fun.

I’m sure that the Acer Chromebook Spin 311 will suit your everyday needs and you won’t regret your decision of purchasing this Chromebook.

10 – Lenovo Chromebook S330 – 14″

lenovo chromebook s330

“Basic & Professional looking”

The Lenovo Chromebook S330 is one of the best entry-level Chromebook available in the market, let’s find out why!

So under $500, the Lenovo Chromebook S330 still manages to be a fantastic Chromebook for the vast majority of people out there because it offers you just enough of everything you’ll likely need on a daily basis. The build is almost plastic but the deep gray or black color is actually pretty sleek with a textured lid feeling pretty nice when gripped. Open up the Chromebook and you’re greeted with plenty of bezels on a 14″ display, but it has a non-HD display. The hinge can go all the way up to 180 degrees, so you can find the right comfort level for you.

But a couple of things that disappoint me is that even though the display isn’t in any way grainy but the colors could have been a little bit deeper and the audio quality of the Lenovo Chromebook S330 is also not really great. I would suggest you to use a headphone to get the best experience.

So in my opinion, anyone looking for a good Chromebook under $500 to help them do the basics like word processing, spreadsheets, browsing, or even video viewing, should consider buying the Lenovo Chromebook S330.

What to expect from the best Chromebook under 300 $?

There are a handful of reasons for you to choose a Chromebook over a budget Windows laptop.

For one, the simple and clean nature of Chromebook OS. It is based on Google’s Chromebook browser, which means it is focused on Web apps, browsing, streaming music & video, and using various social media sites, are among the most common things people do on Chromebooks. Unsurprisingly, they also work great with Google services like Photos, Docs, Gmail, Drive, and so on.

In these Chromebooks under 300 dollars, there’s no bloatware to uninstall like you often get in a Windows laptop. They boot up in seconds and you can completely erase the factory settings just as quickly. Google’s also added support for Android apps on Chromebook, which greatly expands the amount of software available for you to use.

Security

Google also touts security as a major differentiator for Chromebooks. Between auto-updates, sandboxing for every app you use, in the site you visit and a verified boot system, Chrome OS is pretty secure.

Beyond all this, the simple fact that you generally can’t install traditional apps on a Chromebook means there are a lot fewer ways for bad actors to access the system. Of course, not being able to install native software can be a deal-breaker if you are a video editor or developer, but there are plenty of people who do the vast majority of their work in a browser these days. Unless I need to edit photos, I can do my entire job on a Chromebook.

Gaming

If you are looking for a cheap gaming laptop, then it is important for you to know that gaming is also entirely a non-starter for Chromebooks as there are no native Chrome OS games known.

But you can install android games from Google Playstore or try Google’s game streaming service “Stadia”.

Processor

Since Chrome OS is lightweight, it usually runs well and fairly modest hardware. So the most important thing to look for might not be  processing power or storage space.

That said, I’d still recommend you to get a Chromebook with a recent Intel processor, ideally an 8th generation or newer m3 or i3.

RAM

As for RAM, 4 GB should be enough for most people, though 8 isn’t a bad idea if you want to future proof your investment or you are a serious tab junkie.

Storage

Storage space is another place where you don’t need to spend too much. 64 GB should be enough for almost anyone.

But if you plan on storing a lot of local files or loading up your Chromebook with Linux or Android apps, then you should go for 128 GB.

Keyboard & Display Quality

Things like the keyboard and display quality are arguably more important than sheer specs. The good news is that you can find less expensive Chromebooks that still have pretty good screens and keyboards you won’t mind typing on all day.

Many cheap Chromebooks still come with small, low-resolution screens but at this point, there’s no reason to settle for anything less than 1080p. Obviously, keyboard quality is a bit more subjective but you shouldn’t settle for a mushy piece of garbage.

Software Support

As for software support, Chromebooks get regular updates automatically for about 6 years from their release date. Google also has a support page that lists the auto-update expiration for virtually every Chromebook ever.

But I would recommend you to follow this good rule of thumb, that is to buy a newer machine, to get more support.

Top 10 Best Chromebooks under $300

1 – Samsung Chromebook 3 – 11″

Samsung Chromebook 3 X500C13

“Powerful, Seamless, in-budget Chromebook”

If you are looking for a laptop for school or maybe your professional self, then in my opinion the Samsung Chromebook 3 is the best way to go. I would call this Chromebook a good Student Chromebook, as it is relatively cheap and offers decent performance for the price range.

The Samsung Chromebook 3 comes with an 11.6 inches screen, 4 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of storage which you can upgrade up to 64 GB. And if you are a student then my recommendation would be to get 32 GB.

With the Samsung Chromebook 3, you can run apps from the Google Playstore seamlessly. You can also have many multiple tabs open, and expect it to operate as a full-blown PC laptop. It generally does exactly what you want it to do. But the sound quality is average and this Chromebook can be a bit laggy at times. In any case, it definitely deserves the title of the best Chromebook under 300 dollars!

Pros
  • Simple & Curvy Design
  • Colorful Display
  • Spacious Keypad
Cons
  • Sound System Below Average

2 – HP Chromebook 14-db0043wm – 14″

hp chromebook 14 db0043wm

“Vibrant display, Unique color & design”

The HP Chromebook 14-db0043wm is a delightful Chromebook that gives a seamless Chrome experience and easy access to Android apps via Google Playstore. With the HP Chromebook 14, you get a 14″ screen, 4 Go RAM, 32GB storage, and an expected battery life of up to 8 hours.

The display has bright & vibrant colors and if we go over the design, its color is ink blue. And the frame is all-plastic build but feels pretty solid and definitely doesn’t feel cheap at all. The texture on its body prevents any type of fingerprint oil. It has a nice 3.4 pounds weight to it which is still pretty light for a 14″ model.

The keyboard is good to type on and doesn’t make any loud sound. It is really very comfortable to work on, so if you are sitting on a couch then you can just fold it 180 degrees and you don’t have to crane your neck down all the way.

I’m sure that with the HP Chromebook 14, you’ll enjoy all the power, and fascinating entertainment features you get to do more.

3 – Asus Chromebook C300SA – 13″

Asus Chromebook C300SA black

“Simple looks with a decent performance”

The Asus Chromebook C300SA is a very clean & simple looking laptop. And when it comes to productivity, this one takes the cake.

The Asus Chromebook C300SA comes with an Celeron N3060, 4 Go RAM, 16 Go storage, and 13.3″ backlit HD Non-Glossy screen & it supports 1,000,000+ apps.

It is very easy to set up, has a great battery life and the keyboard & trackpad also works great. The OS itself is very snappy and simple to understand. And if you are a college student, then this can help you to take notes and browse the net.

But it is important for you to know that you cannot play heavy computer games on it. This is a basic laptop for email and internet and if you have no need for a desktop, no need for Microsoft Word to write papers or work projects, and no need for computer gaming capabilities, then this laptop is perfect, especially considering the price point.

Pros
  • Very light & portable
  • Good Screen & nice resolution
  • Battery lasts a long time
Cons
  • Chrome apps restriction

It is loaded with smart features to protect it in the actual world, such as the all-round rubber bumper, spill-resistant keyboard, and ultratough I/O ports. And with its school day-long battery life and time-saving, easy-to-service modern building, ASUS Chromebook C204 is ready for anything!

5 – Dell Chromebook 3189 – 11″

“Simple, Durable & Fast performance”

As its name implies, it’s a rugged convertible laptop for students. Anything made for students must be durable and I’m glad that the Dell Chromebook 3189 can withstand the stresses of the classroom, like drops, dust, a little liquid, and temperature changes.

The Dell Chromebook 3189 has an 11.6″ screen, Celeron N3060 with 4 GB of RAM, and 32 GB storage. The screen has also been designed with students in mind, it swings around to make drawing and taking notes easier.

The battery life is also good enough and it lasts around 11 hours. You will also get good connectivity, including USB 3.0, HDMI, and a micro SD slot. The laptop is fast enough for browsing educational sites, light drawing, and viewing videos, making your experience pleasant. But one downside of this Chromebook is that it doesn’t have a touchscreen.

Overall, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the simplicity and durability of this Chromebook & you should definitely consider buying one.

# 6 to 10 Best Chromebooks under $300

6 – HP Chromebook 14-db0020nr – 14″

hp chromebook 14 db0020nr

“Lightweight, Portable but poor color grading”

The HP Chromebook 14 is one of the best-priced quality Chromebook.

It’s a 14-inch laptop that is great for surfing the web and streaming videos. But despite the 1080P HD resolution, don’t expect eye-popping picture quality. It looks great, and you’d be quite happy with it, but the screen doesn’t have the same color saturation or panel quality of a high-end, stand-alone monitor or gaming laptop. I point this out so you can manage your expectations.

The touchpad is large and responsive, scrolling is made easy via a two-finger drag. The keyboard is very responsive. And the audio is loud, clear & crisp. Battery life is also ample. And I love the lightweight of the unit. It’s easy to carry around and fits in a backpack easily.

Overall, this is a great value for the price. HP is a long-time, quality hardware manufacturer, so if you need a Chromebook, this is a great choice.

Pros
  • Great little computer
  • Looks great & a solid unit
  • Great battery life
  • Slim & Lighweight
Cons
  • Speakers not so good

7 – Lenovo N23 Yoga Chromebook – 11″ Convertible

Lenovo N23 Yoga Chromebook

“Heavy but compact Chromebook with Touchscreen”

The Lenovo N23 Yoga Chromebook is a nice 11-inch laptop that make your learning experience intuitive, collaborative & awesome and with this Chromebook, you’ll find new ways to learn. With the Lenovo N23 Yoga Chromebook, you can write in laptop mode, study in stand mode, research in tent mode, and read in tablet mode.

The Lenovo N23 Yoga Chromebook has 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, and what’s more interesting about this device is that it has a IPS display 11.6″ but it’s a Markus HD. So that’s 1366 x 768 and that’s going to be far fewer pixels to push around, as a result of which it will perform better than its competition. It has a multi-touch display and works with a 720p HD webcam.

It is a relatively heavy but compact Chromebook. It looks to be collecting a lot of fingerprints, which is always nice. It has got a really good matte textured plastic finish and a full glass panel across. I really like its keyboard-trackpad combo, which is kind of sweet. All-in-all, it’s one of the best 2-in-1 Chromebook under 300 dollars.

Pros
  • Loud Audio System
  • Large TrackPad
  • Keyword works perfectly
Cons
  • Display is Average

8 – Dell Inspiron Chromebook 11 – 11″

dell inspiron chromebook 11 3181

“Good performance & battery life but no Touchscreen”

The Dell Inspiron Chromebook 11 has an interesting history. Initially, it was only meant for the educational market but looking at its performance and the overwhelming demand, Dell allowed general consumers to get a hold of it.

The Dell Inspiron Chromebook 11 comes with an 11.6″ screen, 4 GB of RAM, 16 GB Storage, and decent display & audio quality. I was quite impressed by its 13hours long battery life, which is good enough. And I’m sure that even you’ll be very impressed with the quality and performance that it has to offer. But it doesn’t have a touchscreen, which might be a deal-breaker for some people while others are fine with the mouse anyway.

Overall, with expandable storage, 2 HDMI ports, and a clear bright screen, this is a perfect Lil Chromebook.

“Large display, Lightweight & Portable”

As someone who has used low-priced Chromebooks for several years, I think this computer offers a great price for a lightweight, thin, large-display Chromebook that works with the Play Store.

For its price point, you get quite a big device. The Asus Chromebook C523 has a 15.6″ screen, Celeron N3350 with 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB storage, and up to 10 hours long battery life. The battery life is definitely all day, the OS is crisp and quick, and the new version of the OS allows you to download your favorite android apps from PlayStore. You can even use it as your main business laptop too, as it is light and the screen is a good size.

The OS will allow you to run Linux programs by opening the Linux terminal in its apps. The power cube is good too. The USB-C cord and port are also very convenient. Finally, the keyboard is solid and will not slow you down.

But what might annoy you is the lack of a delete key & a snipping tool and that you won’t be able to run any heavy games on it smoothly.

“Wireless connectivity, Long battery life, Decent price”

The Asus Chromebook CX22NA has an 11.6″ screen, but it has no touchscreen. It comes with a Celeron N3350 Processor, 4 GB of memory, 32 GB of SSD storage, excellent wireless & Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and it runs Chrome OS.

It weighs 2.2 pounds and has up to 10 hours of battery life. Long battery life is one of the things I love the most about this Chromebook.

The build quality with its current look is decent for the price. I want you to know that even though it is made of plastic but still it seems to have a nice built quality.

The keyboard is decent but there’s no backlight, the touchpad is also just okay as it isn’t always responsive as I would like it to be. It lags occasionally and I think you might have to consider buying a mouse to solve this lagging problem. Still, it deserves to be in the top Chromebooks under 300 dollars.

Pros
  • Super light & sleek design
  • Great Screen quality
  • Great battery life
Cons
  • No touchscreen

What to expect from a laptop under $1500

There are few laptops on the market that sells over $1500. So here, expect a great quality laptop that doesn’t compromise on quality nor performance.

If you are into gaming, I suggest you search in our pages for gaming laptops. Not all laptops here will play AAA games.

Casing Quality & Style

No plastic here! You only get high-quality materials that will be light, sturdy and that will look awesome. We’re talking about quality casing made of aluminium, magnesium or a mix or other high-quality materials.

Whether you get a 12-inch, a 15-inch laptop or anything in between, you’ll get a sturdy laptop that will dissipate heat easily. While you’ll hardly find a mid-range 12-inch notebook, here you can find a great one thanks to the quality materials they can put in it. As for the bigger laptops, you’ll get a lightweight laptop that you would have a hard time finding in less expensive categories.

Display

Of course, you get any screen size at that price. But what’s most impressive here is the quality of the display.

Some laptops will have a full-HD resolution and you’ll also find some ultra-HD. But absolutely all of them will have a colorful, vivid display with wide viewing angles. Only high-quality displays here!

Performance

Chances are you’ll get a laptop that delivers more performance that you need!

If you are a performance junky and run high-demanding applications, go with a laptop equipped with an i7 CPU. Otherwise, an i5 processor is more than enough for most users.

Another thing that will greatly increase the speed of your notebook is an SSD drive. All of the laptops under $1500 I chose here have them. No exception! There is no way you should get a slow hard-drive when you pay that much for a laptop!

Audio

This is often an area where laptop manufacturers compromise… Putting a high-end audio system in such a small device is a technological challenge. But when you purchase a $1500 laptop, you expect to be able to enjoy your music without distortion. And that what you get here!

“Awesome 15-inch”

Asus really did it this time with this brand new Asus Zenbook 15″ 4K edition. Its picture quality is really good and the colors are also very vibrant.

Honestly, it’s a multitasking powerhouse and has an outstanding performance. The 10th gen I7-1051OU handles tasks like it’s nothing, you could be watching YouTube and at the same time pull up an excel spreadsheet file and PowerPoint all on one screen then jump into adobe pro and render a photo or video.

The Asus Zenbook UX534FTC is literally night and day compared to the other old laptops.

“Premium Convertible Laptop”

The HP Spectre series is the premium line of the manufacturer and I must say they made a great job here. It’s definitely one of the top laptops under $1500. The first version, its brother the HP Spectre 13, was already a great laptop but here they even managed to improve it.

It’s a high-performance, sleek 2-in-1 laptop that’s definitely one of the best of its category. From the It also comes in two colors, the classic silver or the black & gold version if you want your laptop to stand out a little!

With its classic laptop, Microsoft did what they did so well with the other members of the Surface series.

The Microsoft Surface laptop is a high-quality notebook that easily competes with the best in its category. As with its siblings, it has a QHD display that will make some others blush, is equipped with enough power to go through any task and it has one of the longest battery life you can find.

Really, a great sub $1500 laptop!

4 – Asus Zenbook UX434FLC – 14″ HD

asus zenbook ux434flc

“High-Quality 14-inch”

The Asus Zenbook UX434FLC will exceed your expectations, and if you don’t own a laptop yet then this laptop will remind you of what you have missed not having a laptop.

For the price of under $1500, it’s a very good machine. The battery life is amazing and it is very easy to travel with. It’s super light and you can barely feel it in your bag. You should also note that even with the brightness set to it’s lowest, you can still see the screen clearly. Also, it is hard to find affordable computers with more than 8gb RAM, so this is a good deal for that.
But for its screen, I would rate it 4 out of 5 because it has only a 1080p screen.

All in all, I highly recommend this laptop, especially for students as it is compact and easy to carry.

Pros
  • Successful design and beautiful finishes
  • Good chassis / screen ratio
  • Very silent
Cons
  • No USB-C charging

5 – Dell XPS 15 – 15″ QHD

Dell XPS 15

“High-Performance 15-inch”

The sub $1500 laptop category is filled with great products, and that’s the only reason why the Dell XPS 15 is not higher on this list. It’s really a great, light 15-inch laptop that has very few flaws.

The screen is gorgeous, you can’t ask for more power thanks to the i7 and the powerful graphics card, and it looks premium. A great choice if you’re looking for a high-quality 15-inch.

Pros
  • Premium Build and Looks
  • Awesome 4k Display
  • Sleek & Light Design
Cons
  • On the Expensive Side

6 – HP EliteBook 820 G4 – 12″ HD

hp elitebook 820

“Superb & tiny”

This laptop is very portable, weighing only 2.78 pounds. The keyboard is really nice and doesn’t have much flex on it. You would love typing on it and you’d be able to work on it for hours without your fingers getting tired. Its 12.5″ screen comes with vibrant colors and it has a very good viewing angle that allows you to have a clear view of the screen even after you pull the screen completely down.

One thing that I want you to know is that the HP Elitebook 820 G4 is not designed for gamers, so if you are looking for a laptop that would run your latest games smoothly, then I wouldn’t recommend this.

But overall, I’m sure it will prove to be a fantastic, lightweight, sturdy replacement for your previous work laptop.

# 7 to 12 Best laptops under $1500

7 – MSI Creator A10SE-421 – 15″ HD

msi creator a10se 421

“A Graphic Designer’s dream”

Microstar International or better known as MSI released the MSI Creator A10SE-421 and from the name itself, it suggests that this laptop has been aimed for the creators. This laptop is not much talked about but I’m super interested in it because of its truly impressive list of specs, especially for someone who edits a lot of high-resolution videos or images on a laptop.

It has a subtle, professional look with no crazy RGB on the keyboard and comes with an option of 1080p or 4k screen. If you edit your photos or videos on Adobe, then for you MSI Creator A10SE-421 has a “true pixel display” which covers 100% of the Adobe RGB color gamut. The keys are nice enough and satisfying to type on.

Overall, it is one of the best laptop under $1500 for the creators.

Pros
  • Clean & elegant design with
  • Good performance for designers
  • Optimized cooling system
Cons
  • No biometric authentification option

8 – Apple Macbook Air – 13″ QHD

apple macbook air 13pouces

“A redesigned classic”

Apple has rediscovered itself with the 2020 Apple Macbook air.
In my opinion, the 2020 MacBook Air is a perfect laptop. It has physical keys that are a pleasure to type on, a beautiful screen, an optimal size, good pricing, and a quad-core processor. The only “touch” button is the fingerprint sensor and the touchpad.

Apple Macbook Air is a very lightweight laptop but it doesn’t feel crammed or too small like its other competitors. The charger on this laptop is probably the best part, as you no longer need the bulky long chargers with two cords.

Overall you’ll be very pleased with your purchase and if you need a personal laptop for the day to day basis, then this is a great buy.

Pros
  • Incredible Retina Display
  • Neat design & finish
  • Ergonomic keyboard
  • Good autonomy
Cons
  • Expensive

9 – MSI GL75 – 17″ HD

msi gl75

“For real gamers”

Finally, for the gamers out there, MSI GL75 is one of the best gaming laptops under $1500 and it offers amazing performance for the specs.
MSI GL75 comes with a 17.3″ 1080p 144Hz IPS level screen with good viewing angles. The brightness is a little above average with a fair color gamut for a gaming laptop.

The lid is a clean matte black aluminum and the interior is black plastic. The dimensions are similar to the other modern 17 inch laptops, however, it is on the thicker side which helps it with cooling. Being a gamer, I know that you’d definitely love its SteelSeries keyboard with perky RGB backlighting & a lot of effects that you can control through the software.

MSI GL75 will run all your latest games smoothly and you will have an amazing gaming experience with MSI GL75.

Pros
  • Very good CPU performance
  • Efficient temperature control
  • Full set of inputs/outputs
Cons
  • Poor quality of speakers against competition

“The reference in small hybrid laptop”

If you’re looking for a high-end hybrid small laptop, this one should definitely be on your list. It’s a quality portable and stylish detachable laptop that delivers good performance. Microsoft revolutionized the genre a few years ago with the first versions and this one is even better.

Some people say it’s more a tablet that transforms into a laptop thanks to the case / keyboard and they might be right. But as a portable laptop to bring on the road, it’s pretty much the best you can get. Read our full review.

You have to hold the Lenovo Yoga 920 in your hands to see what a quality and beautiful high-end laptop this is. That’s a solid laptop! It’s powerful, light and has a great screen.
