What to expect from the best laptops under $350
With the best laptops under 350 dollars, don’t expect them to run the more demanding applications. But you can expect them to easily browse the web and play online movies.
Design & Quality
Of course, don’t expect sub $350 laptop to have a sturdy metal casing that some more expensive ones would have, but surprisingly, the top laptops under 350 dollars will have a quality design.
Some laptop brands really surpassed themselves here to offer a look & feel that you usually find in mid-range notebooks.
Screen
Back in the days, you would get a very bad display on $350 laptops. Dull colors, very narrow angles, low-resolution. Everything you don’t want in a decent display. While some products will still have a bad screen, now you can find an HD screen that can be quite colorful and bright.
Choose within the very best laptops under $350 and you’ll enjoy watching movies on your new laptop.
Audio
The very best $350 laptops will have an audio system that will allow you to video chat without having to wear earphones.
As for movies, only certain models will have speakers that are loud enough. But even with the best laptops under 350 dollars, don’t expect a lot of bass or audio loud enough to host a party…

Top 15 Best laptops under $350
1 – Acer Aspire 1 – 14″ HD
“Great all-around laptop”
Whether it’s for basic computing or studies, as a $350 laptop, the Acer Aspire 1 will meet your expectations.
The chassis is all plastic. However, it is quite stiff and has a good build quality. It has a satisfying 4GB of RAM but only 32GB of storage, which is not enough if you need a lot of apps. But for the price, it is a great deal.
Make sure to save all your files to the supplied flash drive, as Windows uses primary storage as virtual memory to improve the experience when RAM is low. It also has an SD card reader for occasional file transfers. Using online storage will probably be necessary here.
But otherwise, it’s lightweight, has a good finish and an excellent battery life. I really recommend the Acer Aspire 1!

2 – Acer Swift 1 – 13″ HD
“Bright Display & Great Design”
I really like this small 13-inch laptop. While it doesn’t have the quality of its bigger brothers the Swift 3 and Swift 5, it does have some of the best features for a laptop under $350.
The build quality is good, it has a bright HD display, a long battery life and a comfortable keyboard. Performance is of course average and the storage is quite low, but that’s the case with pretty much every laptop in this price range.

3 – Asus X441BA – 14″
“Excellent laptop & value”
If you’re looking for a good laptop with a comfortable 14-inch screen for writing, I highly recommend the Asus X441BA.
It runs Word and Excel without any problem. And more importantly, the keyboard provides a great feel. For those who want more than just office stuff, know that the Asus X441BA runs old school console emulators like SNES and GENS flawlessly. No problem with Netflix or Youtube either.
You might think that the hard drive and 4 GB of memory are the handicaps of this laptop, but for its price, the Asus X441BA is functional and pleasant to use.

4 – Lenovo IdeaPad S145 – 15″
“Economical with a modern look”
Lenovo’s IdeaPad S145 is a good option for a budget laptop. The device is pretty, especially given the competition. Due to its plastic construction, the laptop is rather light. Also, it does not heat up and it is barely audible when fully charged.
The Lenovo S145 also presents some functional aspects. It has multiple ports and can be upgraded to higher specifications.
The IdeaPad S145 is a fairly simple, no-frills laptop. If you are a basic computer user or a student / professional looking for a machine to perform basic computing and productivity tasks, the Lenovo S145 is for you.

“Good 2-in-1 under $350”
This is really a nice budget 2-in-1 11-inch notebook. It has the look and the finish of a more expensive laptop, without the price tag.
Acer definitely put a lot of effort to offer a low-cost notebook that is versatile, quite solid and that has enough power to enjoy movies and web-browsing.

6 – HP Stream 14 – 14″ HD
“Nice and cheap laptop”
A cheap laptop often involves a lot of compromises, but at this price we have to live with it, as long as it doesn’t interfere with what you need to do. The HP Stream 14 falls into this category. And it’s perfect as long as you stay with email, word processing, web apps, and YouTube videos.
For a 14 inch, its weight – 2.2 lbs – is a real asset for this laptop. Add to that a good 9 hours of battery life and sufficient performance, and you have an efficient laptop for basic productivity and streaming video playback.
With this Stream 14, HP once again demonstrates that a Windows laptop can be both fun and inexpensive. It has its flaws, but it’s hard to fault it much at this price point.

7 – Acer Chromebook 14 – 14″ HD
“All-Aluminium with HD Display”
Again, Acer proves here that it’s able to deliver great value. If you don’t need Windows, you should definitely look into this Chromebook.
For a budget laptop, it has very few flaws. The all-aluminium body makes it look good and sturdy, and the high-definition 14-inch display is bright. Thanks to ChromeOS, performance is quite good. Definitely a great $350 laptop! Read our full review.

8 – Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 10 – 10″ HD Detachable
“The professionals’ tablet”
The Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 10 is an ideal detachable laptop for professionals who want to stay productive. At home or on the move, you work efficiently thanks to the well-designed workspace of this detachable windows.
The finish and design are successful, the touch screen is very reliable while the included stylus increases its usability. The quality of the screen is satisfactory. Also, its battery life allows you to work for a whole day.
Pro-oriented without necessarily having the full stature, this ThinkPad Tablet seems the ideal product for those who want to abandon their bigger notebook for appointments and meetings.

# 9 to 15 Best laptops under $350
9 – Asus Chromebook C423NA – 14″
“A great inexpensive laptop”
Asus has done a very good job of design & build with the C423NA model. The performance of this device is quite satisfactory.
One of the best things about C423NA is its 10-hour autonomy. That’s more common in Chromebooks, but having a laptop that lasts this long is worth noting. Its battery life will vary depending on what you’re doing and how bright the screen is, but you can be certain it will last a full day.
If your budget is tight or just want a cheap second PC, then the C423NA is a good option. You get a large 14-inch screen, a good selection of ports, a decent keyboard & touchpad, and solid battery life. Don’t expect to multitask a lot, but it’s still satisfying for most users.

10 – Asus Chromebook C300SA – 13″
“Great product especially for students”
Chromebooks aren’t for everyone, but the Asus Chromebook C300SA might change your mind.
It’s a well-built, well-thought-out machine, especially considering the price. The battery life is excellent (around 10 hours). Ideal for students, it can be carried and slipped quite easily into backpacks. This is a very good product. Granted that it’s not a device for games, just surfing the web and movies & music.
By the way, it only has a single a speaker on one side on the laptop. Although it has good sound quality, it could be much better if there was a second speaker on the other side, like most laptops. Using a headset solves this problem.

This makes it a great little laptop under $350 to have at home for kids to watch multimedia content and play games.

“Stylish $350 Laptop”
The IdeaPad series by Lenovo has always produced good value laptops with decent quality. Of course, for a budget 15-inch under 350 dollars, you can’t expect too much, but the quality is there.
It doesn’t have an HD screen, but the brightness and colors are still decent enough to enjoy videos. If you want a stylish laptop under $350, get this one.

14 – Lenovo Ideapad 100S – 14″
“Super budget laptop”
One of the challenges for an entry-level laptop is to offer a device that gives the feeling of a more expensive product, without having the high-end materials.
Lenovo has avoided the typical pitfalls – a fragile hinge, cheap cracking plastic that twits, etc. – by equipping this Ideapad 100S with a chassis that is a little thicker and taller than some other 14-inch laptops. Although is is just as lightweight.
It is quite functional, fast and efficient. For all office and internet use, the Lenovo ideapad 100s does the job perfectly. The only downside for me is the battery which does not last very long but you have to compromise somewhere for its price.

15 – Dell Inspiron i3162 – 11″
“A little laptop for travelers”
The Dell Inspiron i3162 is a very useful travel computer. Just the right size and the battery lasts a long time. It’s also pretty fast for basic computing needs.
One wonders if the 32 GB of storage is big enough with Windows 10 installed and indeed, sometimes it is not. But if storage isn’t your priority, the Dell Inspiron i3162 does its job as a practical & functional small laptop.
Despite the lack of storage, this device is very satisfactory. It is aimed at travelers who need a lightweight, highly functional laptop. You will be happy to put it in your briefcase.
